나점수는 작품의 형태가 아닌, 시간과 문화를 초월한 보편성으로서의 물질성에 주목한다. 수많은 톱질과 끌질로 마무리한 거친 표면의 나무들로 만들어진 작품은 뚜렷한 형태나 어떤 정보를 제공하지 않는다. 작품은 완성된 형태를 목적으로 만들어진 것이 아니라, 재료와 상호작용하면서 재료의 시간과 본질에 다가가는 과정이다. 작가는 자신의 목적을 달성하기 위해 사물을 변형하는 대신 관람자가 사물에 더 가까이 다가가도록, 더 자세히 바라보도록 안내한다. 그의 작품은 인간이 만든 작품임에도 자연과 충돌하지 않으며, 하나의 고립된 작품이 아닌 더 큰 세계 질서의 일부로 연결된다.
Jeomsoo Na’s artworks are made of wood that is not well-trimmed, and the work does not provide an image of a form or any information. His work is not made for the purpose of a finished form but rather a process of trying to incorporate the material into the time and nature of the material while interacting with it.
